Stem Cell Engineering Facility
Organisational unit: Technology platform
Organisation profile
Facility Leader: Dr. rer. nat. Katrin Neumann
The Stem Cell Engineering facility provides cutting-edge technologies and expertise for human and primate induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) research.
Our service includes reprogramming of patient, donor or primate samples to iPSCs using non-integrating Sendai virus, the banking and culturing of resulting stem cell lines and analysis of karyotype, pluripotency markers and 3 germlayer differentiation potential.
In addition, the facility established CRISPR/Cas9 mediated genome engineering to stably integrate (inducible) expression constructs, tag endogenous proteins, generate knockouts, fluorescence reporters or isogenic control lines. We offer homology directed repair (HDR), (adenine) base editing and prime editing for generation or correction of small mutations in wildtype and patient iPSC lines.
