Research interests

My focus is on the ethics of Artificial Intelligence and robotics. In particular, I am interested in whether AI-based machines can have moral status and with which procedures and methods this can be determined. For this purpose, I draw systematic comparisons to theories and methods of animal ethics and cognition.
