Abstract

This research paper explains the characteristics of academic and content writing for online platforms. At the same time, it aims at presenting guidelines for the implementation of some academic writing techniques on content writing for online learning communities and social services. The researchers used the Fund-raising Project to Establish the Meditation Center at Mahavana Ashram, Nepal and a Facebook Page: Super Richy as a case study for this research. The project and data collection were carried out from October 7, 2021 to March 3, 2022, dividing the execution into 4 time periods to collect 4 statistical data sets before and after the project execution. Prior to the implementation of the project on Facebook Page: Super Richy, data collected from October 7 to November 4, 2021, the Facebook Page reach was -64.2%, Facebook Page visits was -47.2% and New Facebook Page likes was -69.4%. After the implementation, there was a significant increase on all sections of the page; Facebook Page reach increased at + 319.6%, Facebook Page visits at 353.1% and New Facebook Page likes at 285.7%. These results address the question, “how are academic article writing techniques applied to content creation for the promotion of Buddhist-based learning communities on social network?” This research transforms the tacit knowledge of writers into an explicit form by using the art and skill of conducting academic work to identify the guidelines that ensure fitting content creation.
