Verfahren zur gleichzeitigen Linearisierung und Anpassung eines steuerbaren Verstärkers

Research output: Intellectual propertyPatent application/Patent

Abstract

The method involves providing an input, an output and two control inputs to a variable gain amplifier (VGA). An input voltage (Ue) is generated by feeding direct current to inputs (EVGA, E1, E2) of the VGA. Voltage difference is generated between input voltages and a reference voltage (Uref). Cutting difference is generated corresponding to a control input (SE1) of the VGA. Voltage difference (UX-Ua) is generated from outputs (AVGA), output voltages (Ua) and a linear control voltage (Ux). The difference is applied as a control voltage (UG2) to the control input of the VGA.

Translated title of the contribution
Method for simultaneously linearizing amplification characteristic and adjusting digitally programmable decibel-linear CMOS VGA, involves applying voltage difference as control voltage to control input of variable gain amplifier
