Abstract
The invention relates to a turbine blade 1 with a root portion 2 and an aerofoil portion 3, which is designed for use in a low-pressure stage of a steam turbine and at least in certain regions comprises a fibre composite material, wherein at least the region 4 comprising the fibre composite material is coated with a protective layer 5. The protective layer 5 thereby consists of a material of a greater tensile impact strength than the tensile impact strength of the fibre composite material.
