Abstract

The invention relates to a turbine blade 1, comprising a blade section 2 and a footing section 3, wherein the turbine blade 1 is made of fiber composite at least in areas, and wherein the fiber composite is a multilayer composite having superimposed fiber layers 4. The fiber layers 4 are matted together at least locally, whereby increased strength of the fiber composite transverse to the fiber direction is achieved. The invention further comprises a method for producing turbine blades made, at least in some areas, of fiber composite, the fiber layers of which are matted together.
