Abstract
We present the hardware implementation of a reconfigurable universal logic gate, that we call RGATE, able to deliver up to eight different logic functionalities and based on a symmetric four-transistors cell. The polymorphic logic gate is realized with three-gated Reconfigurable Field Effect Transistors. Fabrication and electrical characteristics of the elements are discussed. To validate the presented concept, we show an experimental demonstration of NOT, NAND, NOR, XOR and XNOR Boolean functions as well as multiplexing capabilities measured by dynamically reconfiguring the same RGATE.
