Abstract
The aim of this study is the development of a Finite Element model capable of simulating the material and structural response as observed in the corresponding experiments. Eventually, the prediciton of the behaviour of structural members subjects to tensile and bending loading should be possible. For this purpose a non-linear analyses on macro-level using the Finite Element program ATENA should be performed. This program enables simulating various proberties of reinforced concrete including concrete cracking and yielding of reinforcement.
