Abstract
The structural element has a support core and cover plates (4,5) on one or both sides. The elements forming the support core are webs having at their ends angled bearing faces to which the cover plates are connected. The core can be formed from a flat plate or curved dish with recessed filigree webs. The webs have recesses and/or swages. When making the element the cutting lines and bending edges for the webs are fixed according to a cutting plan and the starting material cut along the cutting lines and then the webs are formed.
