The invention relates to systems of sliding elements, which systems are formed with a basic body and a counterpart body. It is an object of the invention to provide a system of sliding elements which is composed of a basic body and a counterpart body and which has a reduced own weight while having adequate strength and which realizes improved friction and wear characteristics. The system of sliding elements according to the invention is formed with a counterpart body and a basic body as friction partners. The basic body is formed from a fiber-reinforced polymer material and the counterpart body is coated, on the surface which is subjected to friction, with diamondlike carbon. At least the basic body is formed from a textile-reinforced polymer matrix structure.
