Abstract
This chapter explores the potential of Tactile Internet technologies to enhance daily tasks in domestic settings as well as enrich educational and cultural experiences. In both contexts, stakeholder needs and legally protected interests are considered in order to provide tailored solutions, which enable diverse users to accomplish daily tasks and widen their horizons. For the multisensory collaborative CeTI kitchen, innovative modelling techniques enable a range of safe and joyful cooking functions for people with and without limited bodily abilities. User-specific explanations in adequate formats allow the user to stay in control and exert digital autonomy. The potential, specifically the neuroscientific benefits, of cultural and educational experiences in virtual reality are also explored with regard to diverse groups of users. Specifically, children from all areas are enabled to virtually visit the famous Dresden Opera House and experience music in peer groups. By including haptic sensation in addition to sound, people with no or limited hearing can also join in this experience.
