Abstract
Tooth extrusion using magnets is an orthodontic procedure that can be used in preprosthetic treatment to preserve deeply fractured teeth. The tooth structure required for sufficient ferrule design is usually missing in deeply fractured teeth, but it can be achieved with magnetic extrusion and the biologic width adjusted at the same time. This technique is particularly effective in esthetically relevant areas, as it can be used to maintain or adjust a harmonious gingival contour. This article illustrates the procedure of magnetic extrusion based on a clinical case.
