Abstract
Understanding the formation and propagation of delamination in fiber reinforced composites has been of great interest to research and industry for some time. The presented work demonstrates an image processing methodology for automated delamination measurement under mode I and II loading. For two different fiber orientations in the layer interface, different fracture behaviors were found for mode I and II, respectively, under both static and fatigue loading.
