Abstract
The flexurally elastic shaft with a high torsional stiffness comprises an elastomer, plastic or light-metal matrix reinforced by fiber material in various forms. Its shear-to-elastic modulus ratio referred to the material density is greater than 0.2 cm³/g when the shaft is used as a drilling rod. When it is used as a transmission shaft, this ratio is greater than 4 cm³/g
Translated title of the contribution | Flexurally elastic shaft with a high torsional stiffness comprises an elastomer, plastic or light-metal matrix reinforced by fiber material to produce a specified shear-to-elastic modulus ratio related to the material density |
