Abstract
In the context of a research project, a battery mount was transferred into a novel thermoplastic composite-hybrid-design with load introduction elements made of aluminum. Compared to the steel weld construction that is used so far, the mass of the assembly is reduced by about 30 %. Besides, the installation of battery is made easier by the novel design and the part has a high remaining load bearing capacity after failure.
