Abstract

This research is subject to the nature of qualitative research by using technique of descriptive study to analyze and synthesize data and scenario of the necessity of integrated curriculum development through collaboration between two major agencies in Thailand: WIT and CSTC. The collaboration has led to actual implementation of jointly creating the B. Tech. Program in Welding Technology to provide education based on the characteristics of Hands-on Education. This is to serve as a channel for a group of qualified graduates with High Vocational Certificate in TVET to continue studying to strengthen competencies and enhance qualifications through further expanding the knowledge, expertise and practical skills to qualify for the demand of manpower reflected by the industrial sector. Upon passing the educational assessments, graduates will be conferred 1 degree, namely B. Tech. And 1 diploma from IIW at the level of IWS. The research team focused on studying and presenting the rationale-level content, necessity, process, events and phenomenal outcomes that have emerged in line with the policies of the Thai government. Ultimately, this integrated model of B. Tech. And the International Welding Specialist course through the collaboration of CSTC and WIT will inevitably serve as a prototype, a guideline leading to actual implementation of other integrated learning courses in preparation for further development and production of manpower in harmony with the demands of the target industry sector.
