Abstract
Potential applications of 3D concrete printing in structural engineering are discussed. The processing of cementitious materials is at the technological core of modern construction. New construction techniques such as 3D concrete printing have been developed that open up opportunities and technological advancements such as eliminating the need for formwork, providing high geometrical flexibility and ensuring low dependency on skilled labor. The main significance and revolutionary potential of 3D concrete printing is seen in the context of Construction Industry 4.0, as it offers a fully digitized and seamless process.
