Description
The course is embedded in the international degree program "mechanical engineering" at Politechnika Slaska and offers practical and computational exercises in addition to the lectures. The students on the course come from Europe, Africa and Asia. In addition to the lectures and exercises, some students from Gliwice took the opportunity to spend a week at TU Dresden.A special feature of the course was the practical teaching of skills for the production and testing of fiber composites with integrated sensors on site. To this end, the exercises developed at the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology and the associated equipment were adapted to the situation in the laboratories at Politechnika Slaska.
