Research interests

My research focuses on the analysis of phytodiversity and the development of conservation strategies under conditions of sustainable land use management and global change.

Specific research topics include:

• Relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem functions and services;
• Conservation approaches to natural resource security;
• Conservation biology;
• Forest ecology and management;
• Ecological response of individual plant species and plant communities to multiple, interacting forces of global change (especially land use change, climate change, nitrogen deposition, land use);
• Applied Plant Ecology.
