My research focuses on the analysis of phytodiversity and the development of conservation strategies under conditions of sustainable land use management and global change.
Specific research topics include:
- Relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem functions and services;
- Conservation approaches to natural resource security;
- Conservation biology;
- Forest ecology and management;
- Ecological response of individual plant species and plant communities to multiple, interacting forces of global change (especially land use change, climate change, nitrogen deposition, land use);
- Applied Plant Ecology.
