Abstract
The desire of architects and builders for maximum transparency and homogeneous viewing surfaces combined with high aesthetics and diverse design possibilities accelerates the application of bonding technology in facade construction. Innovative transparent structural adhesives offer a wide range of design possibilities due to their visual appearance, processing techniques and mechanical properties. Priedemann Facade-Lab develops and supports projects on the future technology of adhesion bonding in facade application. This article combines bonding concepts and developments with the visions of adhesive bonding in facade application, which goes beyond the use as conventional joining connections.
