Unrunder Radverschleiß - Simulation zur Polygonisierung an einer Messstraßenbahn

Research output: Contribution to journalResearch articleInvitedpeer-review

Abstract

The measuring tram 2.0 in the mFUND project LRVTwin continuously collects vehicle measurement data during regular operation in Leipzig. Using them as input for simulation, the development of out-of-round wheels is studied. In addition to an iterative simulation procedure, a simulation method is proposed to predict the self-amplification of polygonal wheels along tram driving profiles using multi-body simulation. The results are used to feed a digital twin for predictive maintenance.
