Abstract

This communication reports the synthesis of a new polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon and its unique packing motif. This molecule is shown to be an efficient electron donor in organic bulk heterojunction solar cells, exhibiting a power conversion efficiency of ∼2.0%.
