Abstract

Disclosed is a top-emitting electroluminescent component (100) that allows the output coupling efficiency to be improved in an OLED. Said component (100) comprises a substrate (110), a first electrode (120) located closest to the substrate, a transparent electrode (140) located away from the substrate, and at least one light-emitting organic layer (130) that is disposed between the two electrodes. The inventive component is characterized in that a decoupling layer (150) encompassing conversion centers (151) that partially absorb the light emitted by the at least one organic layer and reflect said light at a modified frequency is arranged on the face of the second electrode which faces away from the at least one organic layer. Directional light penetrating into the decoupling layer is thus reflected in a non-directional manner such that a portion of the light that would be trapped within the decoupling layer via total reflection without the influence of the frequency conversion centers can be discharged from the decoupling layer. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a component.
