Abstract

The thermoelasticity of rubberlike materials and related constitutive laws were discussed. It was found that the proposed elastomeric material model does not possess a deep physical basis for the various reasons. It seems more to be another formal phenomenological attempt to describe the stress-strain relationships of elastomers.
