Abstract
This chapter examines the role of dedicated testbeds in demonstrating the potential of Sixth Generation (6G) communication channels for industrial and medical applications within the broader 6G-life project framework. It highlights key objectives and implementation strategies that are crucial for showcasing Germany's advances in 6G technology and fostering collaboration between research teams. By integrating diverse application fields, such as medicine and industry, into a unified system, the chapter underscores the versatility of 6G networks in supporting heterogeneous use cases. A cutting-edge Fifth Generation (5G)/6G campus network has been established across significant areas of the university and its hospital, which functions as a living laboratory for ongoing testing and demonstration of 6G-life solutions. These testbeds illustrate the transformative potential of 6G to revolutionize communication networks across critical sectors, laying the foundation for scalable and adaptable technologies of the future.
