Abstract

We report the temperature dependence of resistivity, DC magnetic susceptibility and heat capacity for the noncentrosymmetric superconductor CaIrSi3. The bulk superconducting transition temperature T-c is about 3.0 K. The upper critical field H-c2 estimated from the H-T phase diagram is 0.44 T, yielding a superconducting coherence length: xi(0) = 27 nm. The heat capacity exhibits a clear jump at T-c indicating bulk superconductivity and is well described within the BCS framework.
