Abstract

The Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) approach is increasingly important to be integrated into education, given its urgency in preparing students to face multidisciplinary challenges in the digital era. The purpose of this study is to analyze the need for STEAM-oriented visual programming practicum modules to support the development of computational thinking skills and increase student creativity. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. This research was carried out in higher education. The subjects in this study are lecturers and students. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique uses triangulation. The results of the study reveal that there is a significant need to design practicum modules that combine technical elements of programming with creativity through the STEAM approach. Delphi's visual programming modules with a STEAM-oriented approach can be adapted to everyday life. This research emphasizes the importance of developing STEAM-oriented visual programming practicum modules that are relevant to technological developments and daily life, so that they can stimulate creative thinking, exploration, collaborative learning, and computational thinking. Thus, this research provides a solid basis for developing modules that are more in line with the demands of education in the 21st century.
