Abstract
In an ongoing field test, different contact wire materials have been tested for several years. With the proposed method, measurements of the residual contact wire thickness collected in maintenance routines can be used for statistical evaluation. The results show that CuSn0.1 is less susceptible to wear than conventional materials Cu-ETP and CuAg0,1.
