Abstract
Simulation of the sheet metal forming process considering the static behaviour of the press. The FEA simulation of the metal forming process is an instrument established in industrial practice for the feasibility analysis and methods planning of the producing process and provides the basis for the die design. Although the machine influences the forming process verifiably very strongly, remain the influences of the forming machine unconsidered in forming process simulation up to now. High expenditures for try-out the dies are result of this possibly model oversimplification both in the case of the beginning of series production at specific try-out presses and during transfer of the dies to production presses. This article demonstrates possibilities to simulate machine influences on the metal forming process with already aviable resources.
