Abstract
As cases of vandalism have occurred more frequently and the resulting damages have increased, but also due to unintended destruction, the industry urgently demands cut-resistant textile fabrics for various applications to protect property. Steel wire is a cut-resistant material, which Is generally used today, however, H has a negative effect on processability and sitting comfort due to its high stiffness; moreover, it involves a certain risk of injury in case of torn wires. The resistance against effective cutting forces depends on the chosen yarn material and the way it is bonded into the textile fabric. It is the aim of the named institute to provide designs of cut-resistant textile fabrics, which fulfil customer requirements. Therefore, the behavior of textile structures under cutting load has been investigated within basic research projects [1 -3]. This paper reflects the analysis of the load mechanisms, which occur in the cut zone of the yarn.
