Abstract
Changing an established mindset at the individual level has long been established a key barrier for successful radical innovation activities in established businesses. Collaboration has been touted as way to overcome all manners of sustainability and innovation barriers, including shifting individual mindsets. Inspired by theoretical offerings on learning and sensemaking based on improvisation, this qualitative study set out to understand ‘radical innovation for sustainability’ through exploring collaboration as a way to maximize individual learning.
