Abstract
This work qualitatively analyzes the dynamics of a current programmed mode boost converter operating in continuous conduction mode. The analysis starts with a two-dimensional (2D) map. It proceeds via center manifold theory to a one-dimensional (1D) map. C-bifurcation analysis is applied to the 1D map. The importance of the golden mean is pointed out. This impacts on the power density spectrum (PDS) calculated by statistical analysis.
