Abstract

Current developments in automation lead to an increasing decentralization of control and organization of the machines or components used. This also affects the processes involved in production and rises new demands for their execution organization in a flexibly interconnected component structure. This paper presents an approach based on the IEC 62264 implementation B2MML. Based on Asset Administration Shells, the automated commissioning of a pneumatic handling system was realized within the project "proof-of interoperability of IIoT fluid power components by the example of plug-and-produce".
