Abstract
This chapter presents a practical method for development of the weaving pattern for tapes with complex cross section. The method is based on analysis and reproduction of the weaving process and can be learned and applied for development of woven tapes even if developer has less knowledge of the classical methods of the woven pattern development. The chapters starts with the development of hollow woven structures and fold structures. The development steps for complex profiles are demonstrated with step by step example, beginning form the principal idea, going through the weft insertion planning and ending with the arrangement of the warp yarns and their positions during the different weft inserts. At the end of the chapter are given the basic ideas for using machines with multiple shedding positions and multiple weft insertion devices (needles or shuttles).
