Abstract

The antiphase synchronization for Rossler oscillators, in-phase state for phase-coherent attractors and the antiphase state for the funnel attractors were investigated. The bifurcations for the antipase state were characterized using local and global variables. The effects of the lattice size and the inhomogeneity in the natural frequencies were also determined. An antiphase state was found to appear in the funnel oscillators coupled difusively on a ring structure when the coupling strength was strong enough. The antiphase synchronization was observed only for intermediate lattice sizes and was different from the in-phase phase synchronized state of phase-coherent oscillators.
