Abstract
Systems of linear ordinary differential equations are examined, subject to real-random parametric uncertainty. Specifically, the paper considers stability and norm-computation for this class of systems. The main finding is: do not apply Galerkin projection based polynomial chaos to such uncertain linear systems. Just use sampling-based methods instead, for instance, Gaussian quadrature.
