Abstract
The new element presented here consist of fibre plastic composite and soda-lime-silicate glass. It represents a new approach and is technologically different from previous cladding systems. The two materials are bonded permanently without an adhesive. The polymer matrix acts both as a resin in the fibre-reinforced plastic composite and as an “adhesive” to the glass. The colour of the element is created by adding colouring agents to the matrix.
