Abstract
Neurocognitive and mental changes following neurosurgical treatment of intracranial meningiomas are rarely evaluated and deliver heterogeneous insights. Present experiences reveal substantial methodological differences with restrictions for comparability and value so far, even though these aspects are of high relevance notably for therapy recommendations and assessment of progress. Conclusive testing models created for daily clinical routine in context of economic strain have to ensure comprehensive pre- and postsurgical analysis but should also take into account new and potent screenings. The following article provides an overview of the existing procedures and also diagnostic insights and recommendations.
