Abstract

Within the context of the analysis and evaluation of the dynamic deformation behavior of machine tools, a model-based determination of the natural vibration behavior and of compliance frequency response functions is of central importance. In addition to a largely secured parameterization of the structural components, the models also require suitable modeling approaches for the joint connections between these components. This paper presents current results on the experimental investigation of real contact surfaces and the study of alternative modeling approaches within the finite element analysis.
