Abstract
Endoscopes are essential for minimally invasive surgery. The main requirement is a high resolving power with a small diameter. Commercial methods based on fibre bundles only use the intensity information due to the disturbed phase information and therefore achieve a maximum resolution of 10 kpx with an endoscope diameter in the mm range. Here, a novel method is presented that achieves a resolution of ≈ 69 kpx with a simultaneously reduced diameter of 400 μm by compensating the phase interference on the receiving side.
