Abstract
Freely available data sets such as OpenStreetMap (OSM) and governmental Open Data ini-tiatives can be used to retrieve data relevant to bike lane planning scenarios, e. g. surface conditions or points of interest (POIs). Until now, this additional information has been difficult to access for planning engineers, because it is not integrated in the corresponding planning tools. This resulted in information gaps that can then only be taken into account in later planning phases. This paper demonstrates the development of a web platform that can be used to generate visualizations that show contextual information for active planning processes on a location-specific basis. The platform is powered by a microservice-based server architecture.
