Abstract
The CRC/TRR280 is part of the long-term research on carbon reinforced concrete. In addition to exploring new processes and materials, it is a scientific task to cross-examine these with established findings. Already existing data and new findings must be processed continuously in this ongoing process. To address this challenge, new structures have been created globally with the Research Data Alliance (RDA) and nationally with the National Research Data Infrastructure Germany (NFDI) in recent years. According to the FAIR principles (which means making data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable), one of the main objectives is to provide availability of the raw data, the detailed documentation, and the results during the project lifetime and after it is complete. This requires the creation of sustainable structures and special attention from as early as the data collection stage. This paper deals with the requirements and approaches of sustainable data sharing in the field of civil engineering, considering the different aspects of simulation-based and experiment-oriented research. The status of implementation and an outlook on further plans will also be presented.
