Abstract
Air entrainment can be frequently observed on spillway faces at which the physical characteristics of the fluid body change. An exact quantification of the air entrainment on hydraulic structures is usually really difficult, in many cases almost impossible. The kind of air entrainment and the aeration's influence of the discharge is often the question to be asked for a lot of hydro-engineering projects. The possibility of their physical and hydronumerical modeling and simulation are also of enormous significance in practice.
