The invention relates to an electroluminescent assembly which comprises a printed circuit board and an electroluminescent element provided with organic layers. Said element comprises at least one current carrying transport layer for electrons or organic holes (5, 9, 25, 29, 45, 49) and one organic electroluminescent layer (7, 27, 47). Said component is characterised in that the extension of the organic layers is applied to the printed circuit board in the form of a substrate and is provided with at least one doped transport layer in order to improve the electron or hole injection. Said invention makes it possible to use the layers (3, 23, 43) for improving the electron or hole injection on the substrate side and smoothing layers.
