Abstract
Postgraduate education is uniquely positioned to play a transformative role in addressing the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges. By implementing innovative curricula, fostering global partnerships, and promoting digital innovation, universities can nurture future leaders equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to address urgent water challenges. This contribution emphasizes the importance of holistic and collaborative approaches, particularly through strengthened South-North and South-South partnerships, practical capacity-building initiatives, and community-centered learning. Key policy recommendations and digital strategies are proposed to scale effective programs globally, demonstrating how postgraduate education can accelerate progress toward the SDGs and the Water Action Agenda. Collective efforts among policymakers, academic leaders, and funding agencies are required to ensure that education remains at the forefront of sustainability endeavours.
