Abstract
A light-emitting diode comprising a substrate (1), a multi-layer arrangement which is disposed on the substrate (1) and wherein a recess is formed, in addition to an organic light emitting layer (91, 111, 131) which is arranged in the recess. The multi-layer arrangement comprises a contact layer (21, 31, 41) which extends as far as or into the recess and which is connected to the OLED (91, 111, 131) in an electrically conductive manner.
