Abstract
The contaminated groundwater is stripped by air in a vacuum pressure field in a special screened well. The vertical well discharge initiates a circulation flow in the region surrounding the well. The operation of the remediation well is explained and the sphere of influence, or the capture zone, for the case of natural groundwater flow is discussed. Further, measurement data from two investigation sites are presented which demonstrate the action of the well. -from Authors
