Abstract
Preparing a molded body (1) from a plant material, comprises crushing maritime plant material from saline environment to particles with a length of 0.1-30 mm, mixing the particles with 0.5-5 wt.% of binders and/or aggregates (3), compressing the mixture into a molded body with a density of greater than 50 kg/m 3>and less than 400 kg/m3 and subsequently curing the binder under heat. An independent claim is included for the molded body, obtained by the above method.
