Abstract
Virtual commissioning is becoming increasing-ly important, but the potential of the models for optimization and maintenance has not yet been fully realized. This article highlights the technical implementation of extending the models to digital shadows and explores practical applications. Challenges such as integrating real operational data while maintaining IP protection are described. The results emphasize the importance of digital shadows as a key technology for digital transformation and enhancing competitiveness.
