Abstract

In some industries, such as the semiconductor and chemical industries, failures of current-carrying connections in the field of electrical power transmission caused by aging can lead to significant losses in sales. The aim of the IGF project presented here was to investigate ageing in particular by chemical reactions on coated compounds and to characterise the influence ofoxygen on these processes in more detail.
